Perpetual bonds of friendship.
Welcome to the Alpha Tau Chapter of Delta Delta Delta at Carnegie Mellon University!
It is with great pleasure that I introduce you to the wonderful women of the Alpha Tau Chapter of Delta Delta Delta. As Chapter President, I have the privilege of leading and representing a diverse and talented group of women whom I am proud to call my sisters. As I interact with and learn more about them each day, they never stop amazing me. Look closely at our members, and you will find scholars, leaders, athletes, and volunteers. You will also find orientation counselors, world travelers, dancers, master bakers, and shopping enthusiasts. But despite the differences among us, one thing stays constant - what brings us together is our devotion to the values of truth, self-sacrifice, and friendship, as our belief in these values carries through to our everyday lives as Tri Delta women.
Having joined Tri Delta in the fall of my freshman year, it is difficult to imagine my college experience without it. I truly believe that being Greek has allowed me to make the most of my time at Carnegie Mellon. I have been able to connect with many individuals I would otherwise have never met in my classes or activities. Additionally I have had the opportunity to dedicate myself to an amazing philanthropy, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, through participation in our Delta House of Pancakes event and Sincerely Yours letter writing campaign. I have also taken part in campus events such as performing in our chapter's musical for Greek Sing and building a two-story booth during Carnegie Mellon's annual Spring Carnival.
But aside from all of these ways in which Tri Delta engages its members, the most valuable thing that Tri Delta offers is sisterhood. I do not know where else I could have found a stronger support system or sense of family, nor can I keep track of all the times a sister has known just what to say to make my awful day into a better one. Each day my chapter inspires me and believes in me to accomplish things I hadn't known I was capable of, and for that I am a stronger and more successful person than I was three short years ago. The individual growth and development that Tri Delta assists its members in achieving is like none I have experienced elsewhere - it is multi-faceted and exciting, and it is professional and personal. I am truly grateful for the development that the organization has and continues to facilitate in me on a daily level. For me, joining Tri Delta was the best decision I could have made as a student at Carnegie Mellon. I invite you to explore our website, get to know our members, and see how Tri Delta may be a great fit for you!
