eBay Design Positions
Full Time
The eBay UI Design group doubled in size in 2003, and we expect significant growth in 2004. We currently have openings for both
full-time and contractor UI Designers at all levels of experience: from recent college grads with a solid design education, to the most experienced
designers who can lead the long-term user experience strategy for major areas of the eBay site.
Baseline Qualifications:
* Bachelor's or higher degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science or related field.
* Excellent and demonstrable web UI design skills, and ability to show relevant work.
* Excellent computer skills, including design and HTML tools.
* Ability to work as part of a team with Product Managers, Creative Designers, Usability Engineers, and others.
* Solid HTML skills; Javascript a plus.
* Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and manage your work to project timelines in a fast-paced environment.
Internship
eBay is looking for UI design interns to contribute to the design of
the eBay user experience. As a UI design intern at eBay, you will have the
opportunity to:
* work as part of a world-class user experience and design team in one
of the world's most successful e-commerce companies.
* gain hands-on experience and skills working on real projects that
will put your designs in front of millions of users.
* share your design work by interacting with members from the vibrant
and unique eBay user community.
