Short Biography
Tina
Wong is a Faculty in the Information
Networking
Institute and a System Scientist at CyLab and ECE, all part of Carnegie Mellon University.
She
is also a remote faculty for the CyLab
Japan
program. She holds a Ph.D. (2000) and M.S. (1998) in Computer Science
from University of California at
Berkeley,
and a B.S. (1995) with distinction in Computer Science from University of Washington.
From
2000-2002, she was a research scientist at Hewlett
Packard Laboratories, spending most of her time on assignment in
Tokyo,
Japan, and worked on a collaboration with NTT DoCoMo
on streaming media services for next-generation mobile devices. From
2002-2004,
she was a member of the Network Science department at Packet Design in Palo Alto,
California,
during which she worked with a stellar group of people on various
aspects of
routing analytics, including a product. Tina’s current research
interests
includes simplifying network management, protecting the Internet
routing infrastructure and secure management of
sensor networks.
