Research
:
My larger research interests lie in understanding the human judgments that shape decision-making. My broader aim is to apply this knowledge to the design of effective communications, decision aids, and interventions that will assist people in making more informed choices.
I use both basic and applied research methods to examine questions in areas ranging from sexual decision-making to the effect of alcohol on risk perception and decision making competence.
My current research focus is on understanding consumer behavior with respect to electricity consumption and conservation.
