Audience Participation: A speaker from the Tartan asked that candidates intending to run in the presidential campaign should submit platforms to the Tartan office by Friday, March 31. GSO (Oliver Schulte): No report. Greek Council (Christine Halberstadt): No report. Faculty Senate (Anne Shields): No report. Student Affairs (Kevin Hughes): On April 4 from 3-5 PM in the Babcock Room in the Cathedral of Learning the Pitt Student Affairs Committee is sponsoring a lecture by John Frohnmeyer, former chair of the National Endowment for the Arts. Contact Anne Witchner for details. SDC (Adam Davis): Saturday's movie is the Shawshank Redemption. President (Kami White): Spoke with the Educational Facilities committee and in addition to repairing Porter Hall 100, a classroom in the basement of Hamerschl ag Hall will be updated and the computers in the basement of Hunt Library will be upgraded to Power Macs. Treasurer (Emma Gosden): Hockey and the Student Body President accounts remain frozen. Committee Reports: Academic Affairs (Brian Mueller): No report. Campus Affairs (Brenden Mielke): We had a meeting on March 6 with Chief LaPaglia in order to discuss security issues. We are also looking into the Greek Housing situation. Funding and Recognition (Merle Atkinson): A special allocation for the Korean Students Association will be coming up today. We will be meeting with organizations on Sunday to finalize the budgets. Human Resources (Troy Benowitz): No report. Public Relations (Eduardo Gonzalez): Sleeping Bag Weekend is this weekend. We are looking for senators to meet with the prospective students from 8-10 on the Drill Deck. Meetings are held at 4:30 on Wednesdays in the Senate office. Elections will be held on April 6,7, and 8. Send comments/suggestions to eg2h.
