  Special Meeting of 17 February 1995

Roll was taken at 4:00 PM. Meeting was called to order at 4:00 PM.

Senators Present: Ardire (IM), Atkinson (CIT), Bielke (CIT), Gonzalez
(MCS), Grant (Heinz), Holzman (CIT), Keir (CIT), Mielke (IM), Mueller
(CIT), Patel (CIT), Rand (SCS), Sharpe (HSS), White (HSS).

Senators Absent: Babyak (MCS), Benowitz (HSS), Coster (CIT), Cote
(GSIA), Demasi (MCS), Franklin (HSS), Gal-or (CIT), Gallo (HSS),
Hudson (HSS), Lin (CFA), Miller (GSIA), Studarus (Misc), Tuxen (CFA).

Motion to adjourn at 4:25:

Passed: 7-1

Ex-Officio Reports:

President (Declan McCullagh): The President began by stating the
campaign promises he fufilled, office hours for President Mehrabian,
reopening Scotland Yard, establishing shuttle service to Squirrel
Hill, and reforming the University Disciplinary Process.  Two letters
were then read, one from Christine DeVere, president of Chatam
College, and one from Mickey Kantor, trade representative of the
United States, in support of his character.  The president then gave
out awards to people who had helped him accomplish his goals as
president: Michael Breen, Martin Dixon, Burt Holzman, Kami White, Tim
Mallo, Michael Loomis, and student leaders from the University of
Pittsburgh and Duquesne University.  The president then announced his
resignation effective Tuesday, February 21, 1995.
