Roll was taken at 7:05 PM. Meeting was called to order at 7:05 PM.

Senators Absent: Benowitz (HSS), Bielke (CIT), Bott (CFA), Chou (CIT),

Approval of the Minutes:
Minutes from 11/29 were corrected and approved.

Ex-Officio Reports:

AB (Martin Dixon):  This week's movies are:

GSO (Craig Brown): No report.

Greek Council ():  No report.

Faculty Senate (Anne Shields): There is a meeting this week.  Topics
will include, the confidentiality of tenure and the b-board censorship
issue.

Student Affairs (Kevin Hughes): Winter orientation is on Sunday,
January 22 from 11:30-6:00.  Lunch and dinner will be served.  Contact
Kimberly DiDonato at Residence Life for more information.
Applications are available for a Desk Manager position.  Information
sessions will be held on 1/18 at 7:00 in the West Wing TV Room, and on
1/19 at 5:00 in the Morewood TV Room.  An RA information session will
be held on 1/18 in Morewood at 4:30 and on 1/26 in Donner.
Applications are due on 1/31 at 5:00 PM.  Special Interest House
applications are available in Residence Life and are due on February
6.  Gathering Storm with Jim Miller is being sponsored by Campus
Ministries and will be held on January 24 at 7:00.  The Winter
Activities Fair will be held on Tuesday, January 31 from 5-7 PM.
Sign-up forms are available at the Information Desk.  Student Skills
Workshop is to be held on February 5 from 12-5 in the Student Center.

SDC (Adam Davis):  No report.  

President (Declan McCullagh): Scotland Yard will reopen at 8 PM on
Friday, January 20 in the old Morewood Rec Room.  It will be open
seven days a week from 8 PM to 2 AM.  Wean Wok will open in Student
Center room 221 and will be open for lunch 5 days a week.  The third
Skibo Pit Tour will be held this Friday at noon.

Treasurer (Emma Godsden):  No report.

Committee Reports:  

Academic Affairs (Kami White): No report.

Campus Affairs (Brenden Mielke): No report.

Funding and Recognition (Merle Atkinson): No report.

Human Resources (Troy Benowitz): No report.

Public Relations (Eduardo Gonzalez): No report.

Chair (Burt Holzman): The next meeting will be held on Tuesday,
January 31 at 5 PM.  The Word is compiling a list of the "Top ten ways
to get money at CMU" email me with your suggestions.



Announcements: % Vacancies: 3 CFA, 1 Heinz, 1 MCS.  Deadline for
petitions is January 31 at 5:00 PM % Due to class conflicts, the time
for meetings has been changed to 5:00 PM on Tuesdays % The School for
Leadership will be held on Sunday, February 5.  Contact Anne Witchner
