 Meeting of 12 November 1995

Roll was taken at 7:00 PM. Meeting was called to order at 7:05 PM.

(MCS), Hart (HSS), Hudson (HSS), Mielke (IM), Mueller (CIT), Patel (CIT), Perry
(CIT), Vielot (IM), White, K. (HSS).

Senators Absent: Adorni (CIT), Babyak (MCS), Bembenick (HSS), Bielke
(CIT), Boyle (CFA), Crandall (CFA), Gal-or (CIT), Hackney (MCS), Krug
(CIT), Sharpe (HSS), White, M. (SCS).

Approval of the Minutes:

Minutes from 10/8 and 10/29 were approved.

Special Business:

Election of Brian Mueller to the Activities Fee Split Committee.

Passed by acclamation.

Ex-Officio Reports:

AB (Martin Dixon):  No report.

GSO (Oliver Schulte): No report.

Greek Council ( ):  No report.  

Faculty Senate (Barbara Prevost):  No report.

Student Affairs (Barbara Prevost): There will be a panel discussion
sponsored by BFASA, on November 15 at 7:00 in Hammerschlag Hall, Room
A131.

SDC (Katrina Lutz): We are currently looking for a new food chair, and
a way to minimize the costs of the donuts distributed in the residence
halls for final exams.  The Iggy Awards will be held on Wednesday, get
your nominations to Katrina Lutz or Mike Sperger.  On Saturday,
November 18, there will be a CMU Hockey club game and ice skating at
Neville Ice Rink from 5:30 to 10:30.  Admission is $2.

President (Gina Schuyler): No report.

Treasurer (Ray Ardire): There will be a final Fiscal Seminar on
November 19 in the Student Center.  The Activities Fee Split Committee
will be meeting on November 13 at 9:00 in the Student Center.

Committee Reports:  

Academic Affairs (Bill Boyle): No report.

Campus Affairs (Daan Coster): No report.

Funding and Recognition (Brian Mueller): We are working on bylaw
amendments for next semester.

Human Resources (Brenden Mielke): We will have binders for the new
senators done by next week.  A Senate retreat is being planned for
January 20 and 21.

Public Relations (Eduardo Gonzalez): The turnout for the elections was
5 percent this fall.  Send your ideas or comments to eg2h.

Chair (Kami White): I would like to thank  A  Phi O and  Harsha Hakkal
for their  work on the elections board.   The next  meeting will be in
the first week of December.
