Approval of the minutes: Minutes from 9/11 and 9/24 were approved. Ex-Officio Reports: AB (Martin Dixon): No report. GSO (Oliver Schulte): No report. Greek Council ( ): No report. Faculty Senate (Anne Shields): No report. Student Affairs (Barbara Prevost): No report. SDC (Katrina Lutz): There will be a blood drive on Tuesday, October 31 in West Wing. The SDC is working on a poster policy for the residence halls. President (Gina Schuyler): There will be an Academic Services committee meeting on Oct 31 at 9:00 in room 218 of the Student Center. Treasurer (Ray Ardire): There will be Fiscal Seminars on Oct 30 at 5:00 and Nov 2 at 9:00 in room 207 of the Student Center. The Activities Fee Split Committee will be meeting on Oct 30 at 7:00 in the Student Center. Committee Reports: Academic Affairs (Bill Boyle): We are currently investigating the pricing of books at the Textbook Store and the availability of the clusters on campus. Campus Affairs (TJ Sharpe): We are looking into the Squirrel Hill transportation issue and the quality of Health Services. Suggestions and comments should be sent to campus-affairs@andrew.cmu.edu. Funding and Recognition (Brian Mueller): We met with the Spring Carnival and Sweepstakes Committees about budgets. Human Resources (Brenden Mielke): We will have a meeting this Thursday at 10:00 in the Senate office. We will have binders for the new senators done by next week. A Senate retreat is being planned for January 20 and 21. Please do not install software on the Senate computer without permission from the HR Committee. Public Relations (Eduardo Gonzalez): There will be another Senate column in this week's Tartan, and a public service announcement advertising elections will be broadcast on WRCT. Send your ideas or comments to eg2h. Chair (Kami White): Tonight we will be approving the elections board. New Business From Committee: F95.009 - Special allocation of $1225 for the Rugby Club Passed by hand vote 19-0. F95.010 - Subsidy of $77,795 for Spring Carnival. Passed by hand vote, 18-0-1. F95.011 - Special allocation of $600 to Spring Carnival. Passed by hand vote, 19-0. F95.012 - Nonfunded recognition - International Student Union. Passed by hand vote, 19-0. F95.013 - Nonfunded recognition - CMU Inline Club. Passed by hand vote, 19-0. F95.014 - Subsidy of $20,069 for Sweepstakes. Passed by hand vote, 18-1. F95.015 - Subsidy of $100 for CMU Out.
