Amending the Constitution
- Submit to Senate
Proposed amendments must be submitted in writing to the Senate and GSA at a regular meeting of each assembly
- Senate's ExComm must make a reccomendation within 1 week.
Within 1 week of the amendment being presented at the general meeting of Senate, ExComm must make a reccomendation.
- Senate considers the amendment at next meeting.
At the following meeting, the amendment must be considered.
- Amendment passes with 2/3 vote
- Did it pass GSA?
- Yes - amendment is final
- No - amendment fails
- Amendment fails 2/3 vote
- Submit to GSA
- GSA's ExComm must make a reccomendation within 1 week

- GSA considers the amendment at next meeting.
- Amendment passes with 2/3 vote
- Did it pass Senate?
- Yes - amendment is final
- No - amendment fails
- Amendment fails 2/3 vote
- Miscellaneous Thoughts
- This can be a parallel process. Senate and GSA do not need to vote on any stage of the amendment at the same time.
