Following is a brief bio that was used to introduce me at a leadership retreat I was invited to in January 2005.

Currently a clinical assistant professor of Information Systems at the Kelley School of Business, Raja has been on the faculty of the computer science department at Madurai Kamaraj University (India) and the University of West Florida. In addition to his research in artificial intelligence, Raja relishes interacting with his students and helping them attain their goals. He is a passionate and gifted teacher and over the years has won several awards in recognition of his teaching excellence.

At the Kelley school, he serves as the undergraduate advisor for the Information Systems department, the faculty advisor for the CIS club, the faculty advisor for Alpha Iota Delta and the secretary-treasurer for the national Alpha Iota Delta society. At the university level, Raja is the faculty advisor for the student organization, Nirmaan, and a resident fellow in Read hall. An avid Toastmaster, he is currently the vice-president for public relations in Bloomington's Goodmorning Toastmasters club.

A native of India, Raja first came to Bloomington at the age of 3 while his father was working on his doctorate at IU. After completing an undergraduate degree in computer science and engineering in India, Raja returned to IU for his doctoral studies in computer science and cognitive science. He is delighted that the third generation of his family, his son, is also now going to IU (albeit it is in diapers to the IU day care).
