Tips on Tracking Down Journal Articles

After you have found the references you are looking for, the next step is to track down the articles. Unfortunately, copyright restrictions prohibit me from distributing journal articles. Other than papers published in the proceedings of the International Meshing Roundtable, I cannot fax or mail individual articles. Here's a few ideas:

Library: Your local University Library is usually the best place to get an article. If they do not have a subscription to the specific journal, they usually have an arrangement that can get you the article for a minimal fee from another nearby library.

Author: Most authors will gladly send you an electronic copy of their work. Robert Schneiders keeps a comprehensive directory of people working in the mesh generation field on his web site.

Publisher: In most cases you will be able to get the article directly from the publisher. Some publishers will not send individual articles. In almost all cases it will cost you money. Elsevier and Wiley are two of the main publishers of scientific journals.

If you have other resources that have proved useful to you, please let me know and I will add them here.
