Surface Meshing: Yes
Quad/Hex Method: Structured Grid Generation
Multi-Block Structured. Transfinite interpolation with arclength interpolants and a variety of control functions for the surface and volume elliptic solver.
Element Sizing Method: Manual
Boundary point distribution controls element sizes
Other Features: Comments:
Solid modeling data structure allows implicit connectivity and the propagation of information. All geometry is defined by NURBS (Non-Uniform Rational B-Splines). Grid editing or Reactive Topology function to repair or replace grid definition. A variety grid quality measures are provided to validate the grid before proceeding to the solver. GUM-B v1 is X/Motif and GL based version that runs on IRIX 5 OS. GUM-B v2 uses X/Motif, OpenIventor and the Motif Toolkit and runs on IRIX 6 OS on SGIs and SUNs with Solaris 5 and Creator/Elite 3D graphics.
