A tradition of the International Meshing Roundtable is to have a logo or icon depicting some aspect of mesh generation appearing on the cover of the proceedings and on other roundtable material.
The Roundtable committee is soliciting designs for this year's logo (1996). Please forward this information to anyone interested.
Anything related to the mesh generation process is fair game, for example a specific mesh, a snapshot of an algorithm in progress, or the use of a mesh in a particular application. The logo doesn't have to be related to a paper submission.
The design must be in black and white, clearly visible, and fairly small (3.5" by 3.5") in order to fit on the front of the program. The proceedings will include a cover credit and one sentence description.
Please email me a "heads up" when you know you would like to suggest something. Send a picture of the icon either in postscript or camera-ready paper form to me by April 12th. I apologize for the short notice: In the future there will be a solicitation announced at the Roundtable for the next year's logo.
Thank you,
