Abstract
There are many applications in computational engineering which require the use of unstructured meshes of a size which cannot readily be generated with cuffent sequential mesh generators. The paper outlines a method whereby a domain is geometrically partitioned into sub-domains within which grids can then be generated in parallel. The approach is applicable in both two and three dimensions, is shown to be robust and efficient and is capable of producing grids of an arbitrary large size. It is also commented that the general approach adopted is applicable to all kinds of grid generators.
