Abstract
The whisker weaving algorithm generates a spatial twist continuum (STC), which is then dualized to form an all-hexahedral mesh. Whisker weaving forms several types of STC degeneracies, including knife doublets, triple doublets, and through cells. This paper describes new algorithms for detecting and resolving these degeneracies. Knife doublets and triple doublets are resolved by preventing their formation a-priori, meaning whisker weaving removes these degeneracies as soon as they are formed. Through-cells are allowed to form, and are resolved once whisker weaving has generated a complete STC. This paper concludes with three examples of non-trivial geometries successfully woven by the whisker weaving algorithm.
