Abstract
The grid generation strategies employed in numerically solving nonlinear partial differential equations representative of complex physical phenomena involving complex geometry are discussed. A historical perspective of evolving distinct strategies and methodologies for static and dynamic grid generation in view of increased demand for Computational Field Simulations (CFS) is presented.
