Abstract
A method for automatic triangulation of Computer Aided Design (CAD) surface
models is considered. The method is based on incremental insertion algorithm and
can treat Stereolithography (5Th) data as well as Initial Graphics Exchange
Specification (IGES) data. The resulting surface triangulation can be used for
automatic generation of tetrahedral and hybrid prismatic/tetrahedral grids
suitable for Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) as well as for structure
analysis computations.
