Abstract
We present a procedure by which grid points are generated on surfaces or within three-dimensional volumes to produce high quality unstructured grids for complex geometries. The virtue of this method is based on ray-tracing approach for curved polyhedra whose faces may lie on natural quadrics (planes, cylinders, cones, or spheres) or triangular faceted surfaces. We also present an efficient point location algorithm for identifying points relative to regions with classification of inside/on/outside.
