Abstract
The element quality of a tetrahedron is often expressed in terms of angles or aspect ratios of various kinds. We survey geometric and algorithmic methods for generating meshes with good quality tetrahedra. We will pay special attention to Delaunay triangulations and to slivers, which are fairly flat tetrahedra that are particularly difficult to prevent.
