Biography
I was born and raised in Kaneohe, Hawaii. Four years ago I moved to Pittsburgh to attend Carnegie Mellon University. I knew I wanted to major in Professional Writing, and I bounced around with several secondary majors within the English department. In my second year, after a transformative class with Professor Hilary Masters, I decided to add Creative Writing as my second major. In May of 2009 I completed my undergraduate degree as a double major in Professional Writing and Creative Writing. I’m continuing my education at Carnegie Mellon University for an accelerated masters degree in Professional Writing. I am focusing on editing and publishing, as I would like to ultimately work as a fiction editor for a publishing house.
