My name is Qiwei Han. I am a dual–PhD candidate in Engineering and Public Policy at Department of Engineering and Public Policy, Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) and Instituto Superior Técnico, Universidade Técnica de Lisboa with the CMU–Portugal Program. Before that, I received my master degree in Information Networking from Information Networking Institute, CMU and bachelor degree in Software Engineering from Beihang University (a.k.a Beijing University of Aeronautics & Astronautics).
I am generally interested in policy and economic issues that involve Information Communication Technologies, especially complex networks e.g. telecom network, cable network and Internet.
May 19th, 2013 I received a non-terminal Master degree in Engineering and Public Policy as the partial fulfillment of program requirement
May 10th, 2013 I served as the TA for 19-680 Innovation Management in Practice
May 2, 2013 I presented “Determinants of Subscriber Churn in Wireless Network: Role of Peer Influence” (joint work with Professor Pedro Ferreira) in the poster session of the Third Conference on the Analysis of Mobile Phone Dataset (NetMob 2013) at MIT Media Lab, Cambridge MA
