Chukwudi Udeani, PhD Candidate. Department of Engineering and Public Policy.
Expected Graduation: 2018.
Research interests: Load modeling for first access energy systems
I graduated with a Bachelors in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from University College London in 2010. This was followed by a Masters in Power Distribution Engineering from the University of Newcastle in 2011. I returned to Nigeria for my mandatory national service where I worked closely with the academia in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Lagos. I worked on diverse projects associated with improving electrical power supply in Nigeria. Research in CMU: My research is fundamentally interested in improving electrical energy access in the developing world using off-grid solutions. I am currently working on electrical energy demand modeling for communities that have not previously had access to electricity. This is to help inform policy and investment decisions in Rural Electrification projects. .
