In this poster, I wanted to express the anger resulting from persecution. Because during this day, friends, allies, and members
of the GLBT community take a vow of silence in protest, I felt it was a good idea to show the tension between silence and protest.
The man yelling symbolizes the urge to yell and that anger. The austerity of the text serves to balance, and tame, the emotion. |

Africa is working towards being a larger factor in the global community, which seems odd since Africa had been colonized by many European nations.
This colonization has been a major factor, from the slave trade to genocide to social structures. Globalization means becoming part of the global
community and combined with the social effects of colonization, African language face a new hurdle-- to retain their use in an environment that
promotes the use of Western languages.

student community. It was held by Carnegie Mellon's Student Health Services and was co-sponsored by a number of other campus organizations.
