Be an Undergraduate Research Assistant
Are you interested in getting involved in research, conducting a thesis, or considering graduate school in the social sciences? Gain valuable experience and expertise while conducting experiments on how judgments and decisions are made. The Social Cognition and Judgment laboratory is seeking undergraduates to join. We require a work commitment of approximately 10 hours per week.
The research we are conducting involves a variety of judgment and decision-making tasks such as: How do we make judgments about the present, past, and future? How does intoxication affect decision-making? What makes something good or bad? What are the psychological processes that allow one to make a judgment? Why are they often systematically wrong?
Responsibilities would include recruiting and scheduling participants, running studies and collecting data, as well as other lab-related tasks. There would be opportunity for learning more about designing and conducting research, as well as being involved in several stages of a research study.
