My research focuses on using computational models to study complex social systems. I am particularly interested in studying the evolution of networks overtime in these systems. For the past few years, I have been developing a dynamic-network multi-agent model called the Regional Threat Evaluator (RTE) to study alliance behavior among organized non-state actors such as militias and terrorist groups. I am additionally interested in the role that computational models have in developing theory about social-political systems and how computational models can be utilized in policy analysis. I am a Ph.D. Candidate at Carnegie Mellon Univeristy in the Department of Engineering and Public Policy and a National Science Foundation IGERT Fellow in the Center for Computational Analysis for Social and Organizational Systems (CASOS). Prior to my Ph.D. studies, I earned a B.S. with College Honors in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University with an additional major in Cognitive Science. |
