9:45-10:05 Arrival, Social Time

Talk to friends, surf the 'net, read the newspaper, have a snack...


10:05-12:00 Instructional Time
Students meet one on one with instructors to explore individual areas of interest. Some students work in several different areas with multiple instructors. Tutoring in reading also takes place during this time.


12:00-12:45 Lunch
Some students choose bring lunch. Others buy Moe's Pizza, hoagies, and deli sandwiches in the Perlis Atrium in Newell-Simon Hall.


12:45-1:45 Afternoon Activities
Monday: Public Speaking
Tuesday: Recreation
Wednesday: Site Visits
Thursday: Recreation

Recreation has included ultimate frisbee, basketball, bead weaving, board games, poetry writing, and swing dancing.

On site visits, students are exposed to the frontiers of computer science at Carnegie Mellon. Students visit actual projects and laboratories on campus, and have the opportunity to interact with pioneering faculty and researchers.
