_____CLICK on My Computer and C: to get a list of all the folders on the C: drive.

 

_____Go to the START menu, choose ALL PROGRAMS, ACCESSORIES, and WORDPAD.

 

_____In WORDPAD, choose FILE and OPEN, and open the copy of yourname_info_new that is in the Computer Technology folder.

 

_____Once again, go to the START menu, choose ALL PROGRAMS, ACCESSORIES, and WORDPAD.

 

_____In WORDPAD, choose FILE and OPEN, and open the copy of yourname_info_new that is in the folder with your name on it.

 

_____Now, hold down the ALT and TAB keys at the same time to see an icon for each application that you are currently running.

 

_____While holding down the ALT key, let go of the TAB key, and hit it again.  Try this several times.  What happens?_____________________

 

_____What happens when you let go of both the ALT and TAB keys? ________________________

 

_____When you hold down ALT and TAB, how many application icons do you see?___________

 

_____Have you used ALT + TAB before today?_______

 

_____Let’s try using one more key combination:  CTRL + ALT + DEL.

_____ CTRL + ALT + DEL also shows you what applications are running, but it gives you a complete list and also lets you END an application.

 

_____ Choose CANCEL so that we don’t end any applications now.
