_____DOUBLE-CLICK on ‘My Computer’.

_____How many different items are in the My Computer window?_______

_____Does My Computer have a floppy disk drive

(’Local Disk (C:))?________

_____In the My Computer window, DOUBLE-CLICK on ’Local Disk (C:)’

_____The Local Disk (C:) window shows you the folders on your hard drive.

_____How many folders are there?________

_____Make a new folder (instructions are below:)

Go to the FILE menu.

Choose NEW

Choose FOLDER

_____Change the name of the folder from ‘New Folder’ to your name.

_____DOUBLE-CLICK on the folder with your name to see what’s in it. Are there any files in the folder?__________

_____Now, go back up to the window for the Local Disk C: drive

by clicking on the window for it.

_____Find the ‘Computer Technology’ folder.

_____DOUBLE-CLICK to see what’s in the folder.

_____Now, copy the file ‘Important.doc’ to your folder (instructions below:)

SINGLE-CLICK on Important.doc to highlight it.

Go to the EDIT menu and choose COPY.

Now, go back to your folder (go UP to C:, then DOUBLE-CLICK on

your folder)

Go to the EDIT menu and choose PASTE to make a copy in your

folder.

_____Go back UP to the C: drive.
