Free speech has been an issue in the United States since the conception of the Constitution. The question as to who has the right to decide how much free speech should be given is one of the most heavily debated topics even today. From Supreme Court cases such as Near v. Minnesota to protests of international meetings like the G-20, how much free speech should be given to the people? Can too much free speech be dangerous like in times of war? How has modern technology affected free speech? What should we do? Questions like these will be answered by our group, Free Speech and Responsibility.
