Lynne Pastor holds the position of Associate Teaching Faculty in the Heinz College at Carnegie Mellon University.
In addition to Financial Accounting and Finance, she teaches Financial Modeling, Managerial Accounting and Corporate Finance. Lynne was recognized by alumni for teaching excellence with the Andrew Carnegie Society Award in 2005 and was given the Faculty Excellence Award, delivering the commencement charge to graduates in 2008.
Lynne graduated with a Masters of Science in Industrial Administration (MBA equivalent) from the Tepper School of Business, formerly The Graduate School of Industrial Administration, at Carnegie Mellon University in 1996 with concentrations in Accounting, Operations Research, Marketing, Entrepreneurship and Strategy and won the Graduate Student Teaching Award.
Lynne is also active in economic development initiatives, developing and facilitating courses in entrepreneurial and continuing professional education for local and national organizations. She was instrumental in developing a Collaborative Technology Transfer model which has been implemented in Central Pennsylvania.
While in graduate school, she worked with many small and emerging companies as a strategic consultant with the Enterprise Corporation of Pittsburgh and was awarded the Enterprise Consultant of the Year. Upon graduation, Ms. Pastor accepted a position with a Big 5 accounting firm in Los Angeles, California working with high tech companies.
Lynne continues to be a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS).
