Biography
I graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2007 with a BA in English and Creative Writing. While completing my degree, I spent three years working for the University’s undergraduate-run literary journal, the Madison Review, including one year as the poetry editor. In my final semester I completed an internship in the editorial department of the University of Wisconsin Press where I learned manuscript formatting and basic editing skills. After graduating I spent two years in rural Japan teaching high school English with the Japanese English Teaching (JET) Program. I am currently interested in editing and publishing as well as writing pedagogy but am looking forward to developing new interests through my studies at CMU.
