Drow with Trident

Hm, well, we had 'Learn to Draw Anime Day' in my anime class right after getting back from spring break. It was fun - we brought in pictures and copied them and got drawing tips and stuff. Not like I needed that much help - I just went off and drew on my own. This picture originally started off being a copy of Raiel from Violinist of Hameln (here's the original picture from the manga - it's a hilarious manga, I love it. :D) but then I got annoyed with it and I turned it into a dark elf with a trident instead of a golden piano. ^^ Hm, I think I like dark elves too much. I drew a little height-comparison chart today of me and a bunch of drow characters that I've drawn - there were nearly half a dozen. <_<; Well well, I'm not totally satisfied with the picture - something about the way the head sits on the neck bothers me. But I do like the hair. I need to practice drawing more, I don't know, stringy hair or something. It always comes out really bushy and fluffy. Like mine, I guess. ^^;

Quick edit: This ended up being the prototype for Xanshaa Del'bren'shazoren. She sure looks a lot different now!
