Assignment 4 Proposal

After visiting the First Presbyterian Church in Braddock, Mike and I decided that we would like to highlight the beautiful architecture of the decaying church. After a long discussion, we decided that we wanted to do something that was interactive, formal, yet subtle.

Realizing that our location in the church was transforming into a concert venue, we decided to alter side seating , which is inherent at concert venues. We decided to use light to transform and highlight the large arched windows, which were illuminated once the participant sits down.

The light produced around the participant's head could incite games between the participants, and also reference a "halo glow" in the decrepit church.
