Description: Macintosh HD:Users:lemanakoglu:Downloads:image.jpeg

A postdoctoral scholarship is available for an outstanding researcher experienced in data mining and machine learning on graphs. The research to be conducted is flexible with potential projects at the intersection of business analytics and computational sciences.

The overarching goals are understanding and solving anomaly detection problems with graph neural network based approaches. Examples to such problems include developing fraud detection and forensics techniques and designing behavioral models for user profiling, based on heterogeneous data spanning multiple sources of different modalities, high-dimensional data streams, and massive networks. Particular common interests should lie around outlier/anomaly mining problems, from contextual, structural, streaming, interactive detection to reasoning and interpretation of anomalies.

Research will mainly be conducted together with Prof. Leman Akoglu at CMU’s Heinz College in close collaboration with specific industry partners (e.g., PNC, PwC).
