Our topic for our C@CM Group Research Project is 'Social Networking Sites.' We chose this research topic, not only because it was familiar to us, but because the role of these common websites is a highly discussed topic. Recently in the 2008 Presidential Election, news stations across the country focused largely on the growing numbers, via Facebook, of people who voted. We believe that the popularity of websites like Facebook and MySpace is certainly worthy of discussion. Our presentation not only focuses on the positive aspects of Social Networking Sites, but we also point out the negative.
