A short introduction to authentic Mexican cuisine!
I absolutely love mexican cuisine!! Unlike the usual tex-mex type of food
I'm used to eating at Mad Mex, Baja Fresh or Qdoba (ppl in the US - you know
what I'm talking about..), real mexican food is a bit more spicy, with a slightly
piquant aftertaste. Almost everything is accompanied with Avocado, Frijoles (Beans),
and Tortillas! and the seafood (Mariscos) is to DIE FOR...Here are some pics:

The Main Meal: Fish, Meat and More...

Street Food!!
Street Food in Los Mochis is awesome! You can get almost anything you want...Tacos are always
a favorite and you see a lot of street vendors who solely specialise in making Meat and Fish Tacos.
I love eating mexican hot dog, it's stuffed with guacamole, fried onions and everything else you
can think of!

A Mexican Baby Shower
On Thursday June 25th, Bebe took me to her niece's baby shower. Surrounded by a lot of women that
day was interesting, and it was the first baby shower I had been to. The food I got to eat was served
in small portions but extremly good...
The food served was very rich

El Maviri
Food at El Maviri was very unique. Longing to go since I arrived in Los Mochis,
I finally got the opportunity to go to the beach, which was interestingly enough very different
from other beaches I had been to.
Having Ceviche, with Bacca Chelle Blanc, was great when we took a break from our swim, and just before
leaving the Topolobampo area we ate chili coconut right out of its shell.

Vegetables Included
Even though almost everyone is a passionate meat eater in Los Mochis, there are
vegetarian options available! One day for Lunch, Tia Sylvia prepared two delicious
dishes, one was the Crema de Calabaza (Cream of Zucchini) and the other was Ensalada
Nopales (Cactus Salad). We also enjoyed Tamales stuffed with meat and rice, and I
contributed by making the dessert or "Postre" for the meal.

Lunch at the "Fish Shack"
Lunching with my co-workers, I came across this awesome Fish place situated close to
work...We ate in, what can literally be described as, a "Fish Shack". Even though it
was hot, I was grateful for the cold beer that was served with the food.

Mariscos in Detail
This diagram depicts the complimentary Seafood Platter served to us by the owner of the
Fish Shack! Three different varieties of Shrimp, including Octopus,
Sea Snail and Crab legs is shown and the dish as a whole didn't have a name,
since it was a combination of many entrees.
This was a special comlimentary dish given to us by the owner!

Having Brunch
A picure of Bebe, Alessandro, Me and Liliana having Saturday brunch at the house.
We ate Ceviche, Al Bondegas, Chicharones de Pescado (fish nuggets) with salad, avocado,
tortillas and lemon.

Lunch in Mazatlan!
For my trip to Mazatlan with two of my co-workers, Flor & Jose Carlos, I enjoyed
some of the best mexican food the city had to offer. We went to a popular local
place by the name of Panamá and this is what we ate:
Sopa de Pollo con Arroz
Picadillos
Rollos de Primavera
Steak Fajitas

Oysters this time
Eating Seafood is the preferred meal, especially at lunchtime since it goes down easy
and you can literally eat as much as you want without feeling as if you're going
to burst. When we took a trip to downtown Los Mochis for lunch. we ordered a
new dish: Oysters. Served with lemon and picante chili sauce, we ate them raw, straight from
their shells.
