Sukkot and Simchat Torah

SUKKOT

Sukkah Building: Thursday, October 1 from 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Help us create and hang the decorations in our Sukkah, then join us for a spaghetti dinner.

Family Shabbat Dinner and First Friday Sukkot Services:
Friday, October 2 at 6:00 pm (services at 7:30 pm)

We'll start off the evening by sharing a lovely shabbat dinner - bring your candlesticks. Then we'll gather for a fun and festive First Friday Young Children's Family Service, which will celebrate both Shabbat and Sukkot. Come waive the lulav and etrog with us!

Sukkot (Shabbat) Services: Saturday, October 3 at 10:00 am
Rabbi Stephanie Wolfe will be formally installed as our rabbi during our holiday and shabbat service. A guest speaker will be on hand to speak with us. A Kiddush luncheon will follow.

Sukkot Celebration: Sunday, October 4 at 10:00 am.
Join the religious school students and their parents as we learn about Sukkot, complete holiday crafts, and organize a tzadakah project in connection with this harvest festival. You'll have the opportunity to rotate through several "stations" that will combine fun and learning. A light bagel brunch will follow.

SIMCHAT TORAH

Shabbat and Shemini Atzeret: Friday, October 9 at 7:30 pm
Join us for this special shabbat service which also observes Shemini Atzeret - a special day that comes between the end of Sukkot and Simchat Torah.

Shachrit Shabbat Service & Yizkor: Saturday, October 10 at 10:00 am The service will begin at 10:00. The Torah service will begin around 10:30 am, with Yizkor starting around 11:15 am. Please help make a minyon.

Simchat Torah Celebration: Sunday, October 11 at 10:00 am
The entire congregation is invited to join together for dancing and singing,
flag waving and Torah carrying as we celebrate our greatest gift from God.
We will read from the end of the book of Deuteronomy and begin
again with the story of creation, Bereshit. A Kiddush will follow.
