Spring Concert 2009
Everyone knows that Christians believe that God created the world and that He is calling us to return to Him one day, but what about everything in between?

Fall Retreat 2008
We just got back from an awesome retreat where we were able to sing with new member and plan for the coming year.

Fall Auditions
Thank you to everyone who auditioned!

Auditions for Fall 2009 are completed.
Stay tuned for future audition times. Send us an email if you want to be notified about future auditions!

Weekly Commitments

  • 4 hours of rehearsal
  • 2 hours of "ruckus", which is time for us to hang out, discuss business, study the Bible, worship and pray together, etc.
  • Performance on a local campus, or other community venue (every week or two)

Weekly Commitments

We take membership in Joyful Noise very seriously. Without a great deal of commitment both to learning the music and to carrying out our ministry, Joyful Noise cannot function to its fullest potential. Members are asked to commit to attending all rehearsals, and at least 75% of the ruckuses. Of course, all members are expected to be at all performances.

Don't worry; we establish our weekly rehearsal schedule each semester around our individual schedules. To whatever extent possible, performance times are chosen when we're all available, too.

All of this is so in order that we may be better suited and equipped to follow God's leading together as a group, and to glorify Him not only through our lyrics and testimonies, but also through the quality of our music wherever He calls us!

The Audition Process

The 30 minute audition/interview serves several purposes:

  • To introduce the prospective member who's auditioning to the group, and vice-versa
  • To get an idea of the prospective member's vocal and musical abilities.

You should be prepared to sing a short (unaccompanied) solo of your choice; a simple praise song would be fine.

And remember, relax! We try to make the auditions as friendly and painless as possible, so there's nothing to worry about.
