Outreach Intern/Layout Designer
Society for Contemporary Craft, Pittsburgh, PA, Summer 2003
- Introduced, developed and designed a Tour Guide for adult visitors of the temporary exhibit; with biographical information on some of artists, excerpts from artist statements and questions to stimulate critical thinking.
- Introduced, developed and designed a Kid's Guide that included a pre-existing Scavenger Hunt of the temporary exhibit, historical notes on the organization and the building that houses SCC, and an information and activities introductory to the concepts and materials of modern craft art.
- Designed the layout of a “Suggested Reading” list and selected the content from a compilation produced by the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh
Minority Science Outreach Facilitator/Web Designer
Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA, January 2004 Ð present
- Re-designed MSOP program formal structure and created “Admission Packets”, an instructional booklet
- Created and allocated funding for “Research Mentor” part-time positions directed at undergraduate students
- Re-designed MSOP website to provide a more dynamic interaction with prospective students, teachers and parents and to advertise new positions
