A Squirrel Hill Book Club

  • Who: Male/female, all ages. We're a new book club in Squirrel Hill; our inaugural meeting took place in March of 2007 with five members who met via craigslist. The club is loosely organized by someone who was inspired by the fun time she had as a member of a Berkeley Book Club (thanks for the webpage setup, Brian!).

  • What: We read mostly contemporary fiction, some nonfiction. We try to choose books that are available in paperback and in local libraries.

  • Where and When: We meet monthly at The Tea Place (corner of Murray Ave and Beacon St). Look for people with the book on the table.

  • How: Books and meeting times are chosen democractically at each meeting, so bring book suggestions and your calendar!

  • Current Selection: We will meet on Thursday, November 20th at 7:30pm to discuss Dreams from My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance by Barack Obama.

  • Possible Future Selections
