Postdoctoral Fellow:
A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the group of Jessica Zhang at Department of
Mechanical Engineering, Carnegie Mellon University. The research areas of the group include
Computational Geometry, Mesh Generation, Computer Graphics, Visualization, Biomedical and
Biological Imaging, Finite Element Analysis, Scientific Computing and their applications in
Computational Medicine, Computational Biology, and Engineering. Candidate needs to have a Ph.D.
degree in mechanical engineering, computer sciences, mathematics, or related field with
experience in image processing, computational geometry, and finite element simulations.
Experience in computational medicine or computational biology is a plus, and familiarity with
C++/C/Matlab programming and Windows/Linux operating system are desirable.
Interested applicants please contact Jessica Zhang by sending application materials to
(jessicaz@andrew.cmu.edu).
The application materials should include:
(1) Current CV with names and contact information of at least three references, and
(2) Brief statement of career goal, research background and interests.
Graduate/Undergraduate Researchers:
- Prospective CMU graduate students (Ph.D./MS): Students should apply for graduate study
at CMU through the graduate program in Mechanical
Engineering.
- Current CMU graduate/undergraduate students: Students who are interested in our
research work, please send your CV to Jessica Zhang (jessicaz@andrew.cmu.edu).
Candidates need to be the current students in Carnegie Mellon University interest in image
processing, computational geometry, finite element simulations, computational medicine, or
computational biology. Experience with computer programming with C++/C/Matlab and familiarity
with Windows/Linux operating system are desirable.
