My PhD research deals with Aerospace Systems Engineering, with special
emphasis in the design, control and optimization of spacecraft
trajectories. At a higher level, I'm also interested in computational
and applied mathematics, mainly large scale optimization and analysis
of nonlinear systems. Here is a description of my research, my CV, and professional
interests.

I'm a very outgoing person. I play guitar, read, dance, and drink coffee like
crazy. I play ice hockey and ski. My family lives in Mexico City and I visit
once a year. Also in Mexico are some of my best friends, whom I miss like crazy.
In Pittsburgh, I've met incredibly interesting and intelligent people; they have
made my PhD not only a professional experience, but a valuable lesson of life.

Our times —as those of our ancestors— are also times of change. As
the idiosyncrasy of societies is changing, some conflicts disappear and others
arise. We have managed to erase some boundaries, but have also built immovable
walls. We've gone farther than ever before, but it has been a bumpy ride. Where
are we —the humans— going? Are we heading towards prosperity or annihilation?

It is very simple to be deceived by the
routine of life. My intention with this blog is to have a documented
retrospective of my life: happy entries correspond to happy life,
boring entries correspond to boring life. The simple moments are the
most valuable; also the most easily forgotten. I hope to keep this
blog as a remainder of those moments that built my past bringing me to
this very present.
