Welcome to the 4th Session of Carnegie Mellon Model United Nations Conference (CMMUNC 2008)! The conference will be held on Friday, February 29th through Sunday, March 2nd, 2008, and will be held on the campus of Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA.

About Model UN
Model UN brings together students in pursuit of a greater goal: to foster diplomatic exchange on pressing global affairs. It is that pursuit that drives students to step beyond their normal scope of academia and to adopt such roles as delegates, justices, journalists, and national leaders. In doing so, students not only experience and cultivate their various skills but they also emerge with a newfound perspective on international issues. In light of current global affairs we feel stronger than ever about the importance of helping students see a multi-dimensional perspective of the world.

About CMMUNC
Since our first conference debuted in 2005, CMMUNC has been successful in attracting and retaining Model UN programs. We have received delegations from as far away as Tucson, Arizona and Montreal, Quebec in addition to schools from Michigan, Virginia, Ohio, and New York. The Secretariat uses the experiences associated with such rapid growth to create a memorable experience for everyone.

Our staff is committed to ensuring the best possible experience for everyone; if we can be of any assistance, please ask. We welcome further comments and suggestions from you to continue our process of growth and development as we strive to make CMMUNC one of the premier high school conferences in the nation.

Carnegie Mellon
Carnegie Mellon University's international community provides an environment which will not only serve to enhance your experience on our campus but will initiate and encourage interaction with unique people and cultures. In addition to enjoying your Model UN experience, we hope you will take full advantage of what our diverse campus has to offer.
