Scott Berry

Howdy y'all... like Uncle Dave I have found warmer places to live. I am an Assistant Professor at Texas A&M, in Statistics. As PJ said I have "only" 3 kids. The family is doing great. As for hockey, I drive 90 minutes each way to Houston to play in a rec league--the level is shitty, but it is exercise, and I get to score lots of goals--yes SCORE, I have packed all the goalie stuff away to show my grandkids! Well if you are ever in College Station (yeah right) look me up!

Architecture '81. I played in the formative years from 79-81. We could fit the whole team in four of our cars, ugh! What a great experience. I am in Philadelphia now and I am the Capital Program Director at the Wharton School. Go Tartans!

Richard Chassen

I played on what I believe is the first ever CMU hockey team from 1972-1974. Our first coach was "crazy" Larry Jacobs. I'll never forget playing Pitt in the Civic Arena. Our "home" Ice was in Monroeville, I didn't see it listed in your rinks page, I wonder if it is still in existence. I currently live in Rockaway, NJ. I look forward to hearing from any other hockey alumni.

Matt Everett

Well, we all have to grow up some time, don't we? Like all of you, I got a real job, and for the first three years of it, I was traveling all over the world. (Not much hockey being played in Taiwan, China, Japan, or Korea!) That's all over now, though, and I have switched jobs and "settled down" in Santa Clara, CA. I coached a Pee Wee A team to the playoffs last year, which was a load of fun. This year, it was time to do something for me, so I joined an advanced adult league. It's a great, fast paced skate, and it gets us on the ice twice a week.

Good to see Tom coaching the team these days, and I can only assume that Coach Fred is Pasquale's dad?

Say, do you guys still raise the "Chalice of Victory", win or lose? That was always my favorite part!

It's time for me to join those remembered. I'll be living in New York City for the next few years. I hope to join one of the Chelsea Piers' leagues. That's all for me. See you at the alumni games.

Jan-Marc Featherston

Most of you probably thought I fell off the face of the earth. Well close, but I am hanging in there.

I am living outside Boston working for a manufacturer of instrumentation used in process industry manufacturing (ie chemicals, pipelines, food, BREWING). It goes pretty well, and I travel about 1/3 to 1/2 the time now. I'll try to catch up with some people if I am in your neck of the woods (Sorry Dave, I'll never make it that far).

Call me if you are in the Boston area, I live out in the suburbs, but only about 10-15 minutes from the city.

Denny Frey

Present occupation: Teaching as a part-time instructor in the History Department at IUPUI (i.e., Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis). Spent last year in Germany, conducting research for my dissertation in history, which I am currently writing.

Hockey life since CMU: Relatively dismal...I played for a year in an adult league when I was an active graduate student at Syracuse University. In the last three years, I hadn't even strapped on my Tacks, but fortunately, my wife's company, Eli Lilly, has a league and so I'm back on the ice.

Ed 'Edna' Kilduff (1988-92) Ed Kilduff here, living in NYC. Playing down at chelsea piers, still violently slashing opponents. See ya'll at the alumni game.

Jon Kliegman

I'm living out in sunny California in Mountain View - right in the heart of Silicon Valley between San Francisco and San Jose. I'm a recent victim (success?) of the whole dot-com era so instead of working I've been either playing or coaching hockey all day long. I miss all the ice out East but they've still got some out here - some of it is even good!

Dan Kodesh

I work for a sub-contractor for NASA so I've been working at the Goddard Space Flight Center here in Greenbelt, MD. Some of the stuff they are doing here is pretty neat. I guess you can call me a Software Engineer.

I live in an apartment in Arlington, VA across the bridge from Georgetown and I am enjoying life in the Real World.

As far as hockey is concerned, I got my 10 game plan to see the Caps and I joined a league. Our first game is tonight. I haven't been on the ice since my last CMU game early this year, so I'm excited to play.

Jim Larsen

I left Pittsburgh in '95 and moved back to my home state of Michigan. Yes, the home of a whole slew of hockey championships (NCAA, NHL, IHL) of late.

Still playing over-30. The quality is pretty good here, with many ex-Junior-A and B skaters. Thanks goodness it's no-check; I don't have the conditioning for any extra physical effort. I cannot believe a decade has gone by since playing for CMU.

Claim to fame: 29 penalty minutes in one game vs. Gannon. Two 10-min misconducts, one 5-min major, two minors. I've calmed down a bit since then.

PJ Mann

Howdy All,

What's new in my world...well, Donna and I got married just after college and we now have a house in the Philly suburbs (western 'burbs - Upper Darby, PA). I'm working as an Automation Engineer for a local rep for a large Process Control company in Texas (Fisher-Rosemount). That has made for quite a few trips to Texas in the past 18 months or so, I actually spent some time seeing Dr. Scott Berry down there. He's doing well - new house, 27 kids (actually only 3) and cruising on the professorship. I have his email address somewhere...I'll forward it to interested parties when I find it.

I guess that the other big news is that we are expecting our first baby May 1st, 1997. Pretty exciting stuff...just finished the first trimester (which wasn't a whole lot of fun, however).

Right now, I'm just going to be playing pick-up hockey and filling in for several people on a couple of teams. I don't want to commit to a team, since I don't know how much traveling, etc. I'll be doing. I'm going to start coaching a local high school team in another week or so, so that should be interesting. Let's see if I can get ejected from as many games as a coach as I did as a player.

Anyway, my stats are:

		Address: PJ (and Donna) Mann
		            104 Woodlawn Ave.

		            pjmann@frsi.rosemount.com

pjmann@frsi.rosemount.com - very slow message system...better to use AOL)

If any of you are ever in the Philly area and need somewhere to crash or want to get together...drop me a line!

Good Night, Hockey Fans!

(Let's Go Flyers!!!)

(And of course - Let's Go TECH!)

Brandon Paluzzi

Hey guys-
Living in London now, working for a design studio (http://www.de-construct.com) and playing with my band (http://www.theoutsideroyalty.com). Have been trying to find a rink for 6 months, finally found one. Playing in a men's league now. Teams are not plentiful, so we travel all over the UK and even to mainland Europe. Should be a pretty good time.
Hit me up if you ever make it across the pond and need a place to crash.

Scott Schneider

I moved to Katy, Texas in January 2006 with my wife Jennifer. I'm currently working in the hydraulics & pneumatics industry and have remained active in two different hockey leagues. I hope to start a family soon and maybe make it back for an alumni game in the not-too-distant future. Go Tartans!

Mike Stanitis

I'm currently working for Northrop Grumman in El Segundo, CA (Southern California) as a systems engineer on the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program. There's ice across the street from my office where the LA Kings train (Olympic and NHL sized ice), and I'm playing in an adult league there. Because of the NHL lockout, there are a few players from the Kings and Avalanche playing in my league (but fortunately for me they're in a different division).

Martin Thomas

Hi from Martin in Michigan,

I'm in grad school at U of M in the physics dept, but I'm probably going to switch over to the Environmental Eng. program soon.

I haven't been on the ice much the last two years, but I've played a little roller hockey now and then. I took up running and ran the Pgh marathon in 95 and 96.

I've had season tickets to Wolverine hockey since I got here. For the national championship season last year, we had front row seats to every game, although we had to camp out overnight to get them. If anyone is travelling through Mich and wants to go to a game, let me know.

Other news: I got engaged last Spring (1996). No date set yet, but probably a couple of years.

Matt Williams

I got a real job, as you can see. I'm a market research analyst for Scott-Levin in Newtown, Buck County. The company specializes in healthcare and pharmaceutical research. I have a 45 mile drive each way, so I'll be moving closer to work soon.

I also got certified as a USA Hockey referee, and I'll be doing atom, mite and squirt games this year. I haven't joined a men's league yet, but soon.

My shoulder was permanantly dislocated from that hit I took at Case Western in March. I got a cortizone shot in the joint over the summer, and it's been fine ever since.
