Virtualization is a hot topic that is relatively new in the IT industry. While the first instance of virtualization and its theories have surfaced in the 1960s, it is not until recently that the full benefits of virtualization are beginning to be realized.
Our group attempts to explain the concept of virtualization and its potential benefits and dangers. This will let our C@CM community to gain some insights into this new technology. We also hope to provoke some thoughts on whether the IT industry should carry on with virtualization or halt research in this technology.
