George P. Nychis

    I am currently a second year PhD student in the department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, co-advised by Peter Steenkiste and Srinivasan Seshan.

    I received an MS degree from Carnegie Mellon University and a BS from the University of Pittsburgh.

    My research focuses in wireless networks and software-defined radios.

Quick Tidbits

I had the honor of being an intern at Microsoft Research for the Networking Research Group in the summer of 2009.

My work on MAC protocol implementations on SDRs appeared in NSDI, 2009.

I have released The Comprehensive GNU Radio Archive Network (CGRAN).

My work on entropy-based anomaly detection appeared in the Internet Measurement Conference, 2008.

I was awarded the Vlahakis Fellowship in Spring 2008, which is given to 1 graduate ECE student at CMU every year.
