Ventriloquism resources
I have been asked on several occasions, "What is a good book for a
starting ventriloquist?" As I just "dived in," I solicited information
from several of my very accomplished friends and here is the results of
that query.
- Fellowship of Christian Magicians
- Find a local convention or chapter and stop by to get personal
assistance.
- Maher Studios
- Meher has a home study course that comes highly recommended. Also,
check out their book "Ventriloquism in a Nutshell"
- Paul Winchell
- videos out on beginning ventriloquism, also a book, "How to Do
Ventriloquism for Fun and Profit" (Long out of print, try used book stores)
- Liz Von Seggen
- Video on beginning ventriloquism.
- Bob Hill
- "You can Learn Ventriloquism" published by Dock Haley
- Bill Anderson
- "Ventriloquism from A to V"
- Doug Houlden
- "Ventriloquism for Beginners" teaches how to make the tough sounds instead of substituting for them.
- Axtell Expressions
- Amazing Puppets & Magic: This site has nice puppets and a starter page accessed through the "questions" area.
