Research Topic Abstract
Our group project explains the meaning and prevention of copyright infringement. Copyright infringement occurs when someone copies the "expression" of a work, even if not verbatim, usually in music or art. According to the U.S. Copyright Office, "As a general matter, copyright infringement occurs when a copyrighted work is reproduced, distributed, performed, publicly displayed, or made into a derivative work without the permission of the copyright owner."
