Emily C. Haisley

Emily Haisley is expected to receive a Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University in Organizational Behavior and Theory in May 2008. Her primary research interest is in understanding the financial decision-making of the poor and designing incentives to help them make decisions that increase their long-term financial well-being. Her research on incentives explores the use of lottery-linked rewards and the importance of structuring reward schedules with improving trends. Other areas of research include biases in perceptions of uncertainty and social comparison theory.
